I have loved you with an everlasting love,  everlasting love.  I was there when you asked me to come , and stay forever.  I was there… when you gave yourself away too soon.  I was there when you walked your own path,  and saw only your view. And  I was there when you longed for love so desperately that you gave away your …dignity. Still, I was there when you set your sights on another woman’s husband, and I was there when you became his wife.  I was there when you realized  together that you were lost, and just exactly what that would cost.  I was there when you lead him to the cross.  You are redeemed in me , perfected in me.  You are my victory.  I have loved you with an everlasting love. Everlasting love.

P.S. I wrote this in 2008. The Lord reminded me of it today when I got home from the women’s retreat. It is MY history, but I am redeemed, and it has become HIStory. The Lord has called me whole-hearted, I believe that he has written that name on his thigh,  and sealed it upon my heart.
